Career

Deidre represents clients on environmental, energy and administrative law, with an emphasis on permitting, compliance and litigation regarding the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, the National Environmental Policy Act and other environmental statutes. Her experience includes negotiating and obtaining permits for complicated energy and development projects, counseling clients on administrative rulemaking, internal investigations, policy and regulatory clarifications, and drafting federal and state legislation. As leader of the firm’s environmental practice, Deidre also assists clients with novel issues related to energy transition and renewable energy and clean power projects. This includes navigating permitting, regulatory, and compliance standards for the development and transmission of new energy sources and the retirement of traditional energy sources. Her clients come from many of the nation's key economic sectors, including development companies, oil and natural gas pipelines, mining, electric utilities, agricultural interests, state and local agencies and various trade associations. Deidre also has extensive experience with federal regulatory agencies, military departments, and the US Department of Justice.
