Brittany has received national recognition for her work in assisting clients in identifying, evaluating and managing a panoply of global privacy and information security risks and compliance issues. She advises clients on U.S. state and federal privacy requirements and global data protection laws. In addition, Brittany routinely advises clients on data breach response and has served as a lead attorney on the two largest reported breaches in history. Having managed hundreds of cybersecurity incidents, Brittany is the go-to for handling catastrophic events that pose significant legal, regulatory and reputational risk to companies. She directs complex forensic investigations, prepares relevant notifications, and advises clients on regulatory investigations by state Attorneys General, the FTC, SEC, and international data protection authorities. Brittany also builds global privacy programs designed to comply with domestic and foreign legal requirements. She routinely conducts privacy impact assessments and advises companies on managing risk in connection with extensive and innovative data collection and use, including with AI and ML. Brittany also regularly negotiates privacy and data security provisions of complex commercial and technology-related contracts and helps companies design robust vendor management programs.
