Position

Aaron is a partner of Maples and Calder’s Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group’s Dublin office.  He advises on a wide variety of legal and regulatory issues facing Irish domiciled collective investment schemes (CIS) and has particular expertise in the establishment, operation and regulation of all types of Irish CIS, including UCITS and AIFs.

Aaron’s expertise also extends to the establishment and operation of Irish regulated AIFMs, UCITS management companies, “mega-ManCos”, MiFID investment firms and unregulated 1907 Act limited partnership and SPV structures. His practice also covers the governance, cross-border distribution and management of such entities into and out of Ireland, as well as the impact of wider regulatory initiatives such as compliance with the SFDR and the Taxonomy Regulation.

Career

Aaron joined the Maples Group in 2014, having spent the previous four years working in the Dublin office of an international law firm.  Prior to this, he worked in a leading Irish law firm, where he also trained.

Aaron is currently ranked by IFLR1000 as a ‘Notable Practitioner’.
