Career

Britt Smith is an Associate in the Litigation department of the Bermuda office of Conyers with experience in restructuring and insolvency, trust litigation and general commercial disputes. Prior to joining Conyers, she worked for an offshore firm in the Cayman Islands and Baker McKenzie in Sydney, Australia. Britt earned her legal qualifications from the University of New South Wales (Juris Doctor, Hons., Class 1) and the Australian National University (Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice). She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, and has a specialist accreditation in insolvency law.

Britt has acted for and advised creditors, shareholders, directors, limited partnerships, investment managers and liquidators in the offshore financial services market, as well as parties to complex commercial litigation and arbitrations. She has also advised trustees and beneficiaries in contentious trusts matters.
