Career

Mr. Treviño-Mohamed regularly advises multinational and domestic real estate developers, administrators, and investors (including private real estate funds, Mexican CKDs, CERPIs and FIBRAs), among others, in the Mexican legal and regulatory aspects of direct or structured investments in, or strategic acquisitions of, real property in the industrial, retail, commercial, tourism, residential, data centers, and urban sectors.

Most notably, Mr. Treviño-Mohamed advised FIBRA Macquarie in the approximately US$1.5 billion dollars acquisition of its initial portfolio composed of two real estate portfolios of 244 industrial properties located in 21 cities and 15 states within Mexico, which represented the largest real estate acquisition in Mexico until that date; since then, he has participated in diverse acquisitions and sales of FIBRA Macquarie for more than US$1 billion.

Mr. Treviño-Mohamed has been recognized since 2015 as a leading lawyer in Real Estate by multiple legal directories such as Chambers Latin America: Latin America´s Leading Lawyers, The Legal 500 and Latin Lawyer.

Mr. Treviño-Mohamed is a member of the Mexican Bar Association and has written multiple articles and papers on real estate; he is also a member of the management committee of the ULI (Urban Land Institute; Mexico), including the ULI Monterrey sub-committee.

Education

Mr. Treviño-Mohamed obtained his law degree (JD) from Universidad de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico in 2001, and his Master’s in Law (LL.M) degree from Northwestern University, Pritzker School of Law in 2006.
