Position
Roger Cooper focuses on complex civil litigation, with an emphasis on shareholder, class action and derivative disputes relating to securities, M&A, antitrust, derivatives and corporate governance issues. He frequently represents foreign corporations in securities class action litigation in U.S. federal and state courts, including in some of the largest of such matters in recent years. Roger frequently publishes and speaks on securities litigation issues, particularly on cross-border issues affecting foreign defendants in U.S. proceedings.
Career
Roger joined the firm in 2003 and became a partner in 2011. JD, Columbia Law School (2002); Ph.D., Duke University (1999); B.A., University of Wisconsin (1991); Law Clerk, Honorable B. Avant Edenfield, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Georgia (2002-2003).
Memberships
Mr. Cooper is a member of the Bar of New York and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Federal Circuits. He is currently a member of the Committee on Securities Litigation of the Bar Association of the City of New York.
