Brendan’s practice is focused on mergers, acquisitions and project development. Clients value Brendan for his experience acting for public and private companies on a broad range of complex transactions and commercial arrangements.

Frequently acting on domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition transactions, including share and asset purchases and sales, Brendan also advises on joint ventures, partnerships, project development and commercial arrangements and corporate reorganizations. With a primary focus on the energy, infrastructure and construction sectors, Brendan advises across a broad range of industries on general corporate and commercial matters. Brendan has also worked with clients to establish business relationships, joint ventures and partnerships with Indigenous-owned entities.

Leveraging his work with an international engineering, procurement, construction and management company prior to practicing law, clients benefit from Brendan’s understanding of the strategy, logistics and governance considerations inherent to large-scale energy and infrastructure projects.

Brendan is the Co-Leader of the Global Energy and Climate Group for the Alberta region.
