Jonathan Barnes is a partner in Bowmans Johannesburg office Dispute Resolution Department.
He is a qualified mediator in South African and the UK and also specialises in High Court litigation and private arbitration, both internationally and domestically.
He has expertise in transactional disputes, contractual claims, mining-related litigation, class action lawsuits and urgent High Court proceedings.
He has also worked on arbitrations seated in Johannesburg, London Mauritius and Paris facing tribunals convened under the auspices of the ICC, the LCIA and AFSA.
He has BA and LLB degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and an LLM from the University of Edinburgh, UK.
