Charles advises clients on complex and strategic corporate transactions, many of which have a cross-border element. He takes a commercially focused approach, balancing business objectives with legal risk to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients.

His experience includes advising on takeover bids, private acquisitions and disposals, mergers, joint ventures, restructurings, demergers, and equity capital markets transactions, including listings and capital raisings. He also provides counsel on company law and securities regulation, including market abuse, insider dealing, prospectus requirements, and corporate governance.

Charles has worked across a broad range of sectors, with expertise in financial services, technology, and consumer goods, food, and retail.
