Career

Brett in an employment law specialist with substantial experience in labour and general litigation before the employment tribunals, the Labour Courts and the High Courts. He also regularly conducts arbitrations in the employment tribunals and Labour Courts. He is also experienced in conducting employment related due diligence work and has advised multinational corporations on the employment related implications of doing business in South Africa, both in relation to compliance with local legislation, as well as in relation to the employment related consequences of business transfers (including litigation arising out of such transfers).

Brett has extensive experience in the mining and metals industries and advising mining clients on all employment law matters, with a particular focus on strike management and the regulation of the relationship between mine management and trade unions.
