Career

Ms. Miranda focuses her practice in real estate and contracts law, including legal structuring of real estate transactions. She assists with due diligence for risk assessment, structuring of residential and commercial developments, rural and urban real estate acquisitions and the drafting and negotiation of contracts. Ms. Miranda advises clients on matters related to purchase and sale of real estate, mortgage and chattel mortgage, lease agreements and real estate rectification procedures. She has worked with all types of real estate companies including condominiums and shopping centers.

In 2011 through 2012, Ms. Miranda represented Hyundai Heavy Industries Brasil (Empreendimentos Imobiliários Ltda.) in the acquisition of seven properties to house its equipment factory in Itatiaia, RJ. She is currently representing Bosque Medical Center, an Amil group company, in structuring an innovative hospital complex in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro that encompasses medical offices, a hospital, retail stores and a convention center in a single development.

Prior experience for Ms. Miranda includes a two-year internship at the Municipal Attorney’s Office of Rio de Janeiro, where she gained experience in the areas of tax and administrative law. She also served as Notary’s substitute at the Notary “Ofício Único do Município de Areal – RJ” for five years, where she was responsible for coordinating the Notary and the Real Estate Registry services, while also supervising procedures of Protests, RTD (Titles and Documents Registry), RCPN (Civil Natural Persons Registry) and RCPJ (Civil Legal Entity Registry). During this period Ms. Miranda acquired valuable experience in civil and in real estate law.
