Roberto Rudzit is a partner in the São Paulo office with expertise in leading cross-border financing and M&A transactions, project finance deals, and counseling clients on regulatory and administrative law issues. He advises leading global and Brazilian companies in the power, infrastructure (includes toll roads), natural resources and port sectors. Global agencies and institutions such as the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and Deutsche Investitions - Und Entwicklungsgesell¬schaft MBH (DEG) rely on Mr. Rudzit’s expert counsel.

Clients value Mr. Rudzit’s unparalleled knowledge and experience in the finance and investment banking arena gained from his years spent in-house in the investment banking divisions of Credit Lyonnais and Credibanco (later acquired by Unibanco). He has a deep understanding of, and insights into, structured finance, banking regulations and is adept at guiding complex transactions involving multiple parties and contingencies.

Mr. Rudzit counsels clients from the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, Chile Australia and Japan in several areas of corporate law and mergers & acquisitions including financing for such transactions.

Mr. Rudzit led the development of the Power Sector Practice Group for the São Paulo office of Veirano Advogados. He was involved in the early stages of privatization in Brazil, which included negotiating the first Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for a major U.S. corporation, enabling him to provide clients with a unique perspective and strategic guidance. He advises several power concessionaires in regulatory aspects, as well as negotiation of EPC contracts and financings.
