Practices since 2002. Jorge’s main areas include stock market law, insurance, and mergers and acquisitions. He was legal advisor to the Comisión Nacional de Valores (Panamanian National Securities Commission), current Superintendencia de Mercado de Valores (Superintendence of Securities Market) in 2002, and from 2004 to 2008; he was an independent lawyer dedicated to the attention of mercantile matters related to financial market law from 2008 to 2010. He has been professor of Commercial Law in the bachelor’s degree, and professor of Securities Law in the master’s degree. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Instituto Panameño de Gobierno Corporativo (Panamanian Institute of Corporate Governance).
