Career

Director of az Tech with over 15 years of professional experience, advising public and private organizations on technology, personal data protection, fintech, compliance, and cybersecurity. As a lawyer and expert in technology matters, she has strategically advised clients from various sectors on their legal needs, offering innovative solutions focused on results. Her main actions and advisory services include as examples: diagnostic consulting on compliance status in personal data protection and cybersecurity; advising a Spanish company based in Chile on the handling of personal data of employees and stakeholders; analyzing and drafting contracts and contractual clauses related to personal data protection, international data transfer, and privacy policies, among others; and drafting resolutions for the Council for Transparency that applied, among others, the regulations of Law 20.285 and Law 19.628 on the Protection of Private Life.

Ivonne is a founding partner and director of the Association of Professionals in Personal Data Protection (AGP Chile) and Founder and Director of the Digital Citizen Observatory. Previously, she worked as an associate lawyer at the Court of Appeals of San Miguel, Santiago, Chile; at the Chilean Council for Transparency; at the Ministry of Economy, Development, and Tourism; at Marca Chile; and at the Metlife holding.

Ivonne has academic teaching experience. She serves as a Professor in the Diploma program for Personal Data Protection and Compliance at Universidad Central de Chile and has been teaching courses for public officials on Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Personal Data Protection, Technology Contracts, among other topics, since 2023.
