Career

She specializes in mining, energy, water, and environmental matters, especially in the acquisition, development and operation of mining projects. She assists local and international corporations in complex litigation, permitting, property and land issues and in their relationship with authorities.

María Paz is a member of the board of the Mining Council and the Chilean-Australian Chamber of Commerce (AUSCHAM). Additionally, she is a member of the Steering Committee of The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law (formerly, Rocky Mountain Law Foundation). In addition, she is a member of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC); Women in Senior Management Network (REDMAD); Women in Mining International; Women in Mining Chile and the Chilean Bar Association.

 

Education

She earned their Bachelor of Laws from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in 2003.
