Mining and Business Development

Marco is a partner and a member of the mining and metals area. In addition, he is a member of the business development area. He specializes on transactional and regulatory mining matters, and in the acquisition, financing, and development of mining, energy, and green hydrogen projects.

The professional served as the Head of Latin America Practice at Hammonds (currently Squire Patton Boggs-Europe) in London, United Kingdom, from 2002 to 2009. They have been a member of The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law since 2013 and are also affiliated with the Prospector & Developers Association of Canada.

Marco obtained their Bachelor of Laws from Universidad Diego Portales in 1991. They then pursued a Postgraduate Degree in Tax Law at Universidad de Santiago, Chile, graduating in 1993. In 2005, they completed an International Practice Diploma in International Joint Ventures at The College of Law in London, United Kingdom.
