Career

Pablo J. Alliani is a partner and Head of the Energy and Natural Resources practice.

He has represented international and domestic energy companies in a wide range of matters related to their operations in Argentina, from international oil and gas players, independent companies, and state-owned companies, in oil and gas contracts negotiations, regulatory matters, M&A and infrastructure and investment projects, including in the world-famous Vaca Muerta formation, to large mining companies engaged in copper, gold and silver mining as well as lithium operations.

Before joining Bomchil in 2020, he was a founding partner at Alliani & Bruzzon and a foreign visiting attorney with Baker Botts LLP.

Pablo was Chair of the Section on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law of the International Bar Association (IBA) and President of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) during 2011-2012 and 2021, and he served on the AIPN Board for more than ten years.

Currently, he is the AIEN (Association of International Energy Negotiators) Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean.
