Career

Lawyer from the University of Chile, holds a Master's in Law from the University of Valencia, Spain; an LLM from Duke University, United States; and a postgraduate degree in cybersecurity and cyberdefense from the University of Chile.

He leads the litigation department of the firm, advising both national and international clients in civil, administrative, and criminal proceedings, with a focus on intellectual property, economic criminal law, advertising law, unfair competition, customs, administrative contentious matters, and related lawsuits.

He worked for 5 years in the National Prosecutor's Office, in the Specialized Unit for Money Laundering, Economic Crimes, and Organized Crime, where he headed the Economic Crimes Department in 2008. He was invited by the Ministry of Justice to participate in the drafting commission of the new Penal Code, specifically to propose the new regulation of crimes against industrial property and copyright. He has been an Arbitrator for NIC Chile for the allocation of .CL domain names since 2013. He is currently a director of the Chilean Association of Intellectual Property (ACHIPI).

Author of various articles and monographs, he is also a postgraduate-level professor at the Catholic University, the University of Chile, and Adolfo Ibáñez University, and has also spoken at seminars on intellectual property and economic criminal law.
