Career

María Eugenia  has almost 20 years of professional experience and leads the firm's Venture Capital, Corporate MA and Privacy Equity area.

Throughout her professional career, she has specialized in providing legal advice and support to individuals and local and foreign companies in corporate, commercial, financial law, corporate relations, mergers and acquisitions, and business and asset reorganizations. Additionally, in recent years, she has focused on advising clients on entrepreneurship matters, both Investment Fund Managers and investors, as well as Startups at all stages of their business development.

Previously, she served as Director of the corporate area at Aninat Schwencke y Cía, focusing on advising national and foreign clients on corporate matters, especially mergers and acquisitions, financing, contracting, corporate relations, and corporate governance, among others. She was also part of the legal firms Mena Alessandri and Recabarren y Asociados as a senior lawyer, addressing legal issues related to asset management and tax matters according to the needs of her clients.

María Eugenia has been recognized due her trajectory and expertise by different rankings such as Best Lawyers and Chambers and Partner, The  publication Business Today recognized Mrs. Sabbagh as one of the TOP 10 lawyers in the "Lawyer Award 2023" ranking in the Venture Capital sector in Chile.

Mrs. Sabbagh has extensive academic and teaching experience at renowned universities in the country. She has served as an assistant professor in the courses “Non-Contractual Civil Liability” and “Breach of Contracts” at the University of Chile, as well as an assistant professor in the Commercial Law course at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
