Career

Osama Rasaa is a bilingual Yemeni national with LLB & LLM from Swansea University (Wales, UK). In 2011, he was awarded the United Nations Nippon Foundation of Japan Fellowship Programme to pursue research in Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea with the Maritime Institute, University of Ghent, Belgium. In 2012, Osama was hosted by the Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea (DOALOS), Office of Legal Affairs of the United Nations in New York City, United States.

Osama started his career as a Legal Assistant at the Ministry of Legal Affairs in Sana’a, Yemen where he was involved in several international arbitrations between the Government of Yemen and foreign investors under ICC, UNCITRAL and ICSID.

His practice areas include arbitration (with focus on oil and gas), corporate & commercial, maritime, telecommunication and unique expertise in labour law and employment affairs.
