Cécile Martin is the Managing Partner of the Ogletree Deakins Paris office. She advises clients on compensation policies (including material risk takers), discrimination and harassment litigation, corporate restructuring, mass redundancies plans as well as collective litigation. By starting her career at the French Data Protection Agency (CNIL), Cecile has developed leading-edge skills particularly on topics related to GDPR employee monitoring at the workplace, whistleblowing alerts, social media use, and international data transfer.

Cécile is a member of the CDPO France Advisory Board and Co-Chair of the Paris KnowledgeNet of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and is also a member of the firm’s International and Data Privacy practice groups.

She is ranked by Chambers & Partners Europe since 2020 and is recognized by Best Lawyers since 2021.

In 2022, Cécile Martin has been awarded “Lawyer of the Year” for France in the Labour and Employment Law category of the international Lawyer Monthly Legal Awards 2022 Winners Edition, which annually recognizes the best lawyers worldwide.

She lectures on data protection law at Paris La Sorbonne University.
