Career

Brian L. Klock joined Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto in 1992. Since that time he has concentrated in the areas of client counseling, opinion drafting, litigation, licensing, and patent prosecution, primarily involving the electrical and mechanical sciences. Mr. Klock has extensive experience in client counseling and preparation of opinions concerning infringement and validity issues, as well as the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. He has also been substantially involved in various patent litigations for clients such as Canon. Prior to joining Fitzpatrick, Cella, Harper & Scinto, Mr. Klock worked as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, examining patent applications related to computer hardware and software. Mr. Klock serves as the Managing Partner in the Washington, D.C. office.
