Career

Peter E. Moran, a partner in the New Jersey office, concentrates his practice in the area of construction law and in the negotiation, litigation, arbitration and mediation of construction and commercial disputes in New York and New Jersey.

Peter represents his clients throughout all stages of trial and appeal, working hand-in-hand with them to develop cohesive and cost-effective litigation strategies to help achieve their business goals. He represents owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, architects, engineers, sponsors, and subcontractors. Peter is particularly experienced in the handling of construction and design-defect claims, contract claims, lien and construction trust matters, payment disputes, delay-and impact claims, international disputes involving Fédération Internationale Des Ingénieurs-Conseils (FIDIC) and government contracts, condominium and community association law, bid protests, construction injury defense, consumer fraud claims, insurance coverage, professional malpractice defense, and general commercial litigation. His experience also includes the drafting and negotiating of construction documents.

Peter represents clients serving numerous segments of the construction industry, including commercial, public and residential construction, schools, high-rises and skyscrapers, airports, power and energy, transportation, and heavy highway. He has a working knowledge of Spanish.
