Career

Michael Russ concentrates his practice in public finance and has served as both bond counsel and underwriter’s counsel on a wide range of transactions, including: private conduit financings, 501(c)(3) financings, higher education financings, single family mortgage revenue bonds, multi-family revenue bonds, senior housing financings, and municipal bond issuances.

Michael is also a Certified Public Accountant, and he has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® and as a Mid-South Super Lawyers® Rising Star.  He is a member of the National Association of Bond Lawyers and Mississippi Economic Development Council.

Michael obtained his J.D., Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Taxation from the University of Mississippi and his LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida. He is admitted to The Mississippi Bar.
