Career

Nicolás Fernández Madero specializes in corporate and commercial law. He has also worked as an advisor in a large number of banking, financial and capital market transactions, including local and international bond issuances and exchanges, retail placements, and the public offering of consumer and infrastructure financial trusts.

Prior to joining the firm, he was a senior associate at O'Farrell Law Firm (2007-2015). He was also a senior associate at Bulló - Tassi - Estebenet - Lipera - Torassa Law Firm (2000-2007) and a semi-senior partner at Hope - Duggan & Silva (1996-2000).

Mr. Fernández Madero has been listed among the 12 Argentine leading banking lawyers by Who’s Who Legal.  He is a frequent speaker at different congresses and seminars on capital markets, financial law and compliance -several of which are held at the Buenos Aires Stock Market-, and is author to numerous articles on his field of expertise, in legal and journalistic publications from Argentina -La Ley, El Derecho, Jurisprudencia Argentina, Revista Impuesto, Enfoques, Periódico Económico Tributario, El Cronista, among others – and in foreign publications - Latin Lawyer and Legal Newswire, among others. He has been a Corporate Law professor at Universidad de Buenos Aires, a Commercial Trusts Law professor at UCAECE, and has been invited to speak at UCA, UCASAL (Salta) and at the Buenos Aires Bar Association.
