Career
Mariana Ardizzone is one of leading practitioners in the Oil & Gas industry in Argentina. She has structured several transnational gas pipeline projects and power generation projects in the Southern Cone of South America; advised on and negotiated a major international swap of assets and shares involving refineries, E&P assets and retail stations in Argentina and Brazil; structured and advised several successful Canadian and U.S. E&P start ups in Argentina, and regularly advises on M&As and complex regulatory matters in the energy and natural resources industries.
Ms. Ardizzone’s experience includes advising Americas Petrogas Inc. in the sale of Americas Petrogas Argentina to Tecpetrol, GeoPark Argentina, President Petroleum PLC and Quintana E&P in their acquisitions in Argentina. She was responsible for the Argentine legal team in charge of the EG3-REFAP swap of assets. While working inhouse, she designed legal strategies to take part in YPFB and Kazakhgas privatizations and for several other greenfield infrastructure projects in South America (Gasoducto Cruz del Sur, Central Térmica Bulo Bulo, Pacific Gas and others).
Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Ms. Ardizzone founded Ardizzone Abogados, was a partner with Maciel, Norman & Asociados and an in-house counsel at Bridas S.A.P.I.C. and Pan American Energy LLC. She frequently writes and speaks on energy and natural resources law.
