Career
Mr. Arteaga has over 30 years of professional experience, focusing his practice on electricity law, energy, commercial law and arbitration. He has advised numerous companies, national and foreign, in matters of energy law, regulatory matters, as well as in mergers and acquisitions, insolvency and corporate restructuring in various economic sectors.
He is an arbitrator of the Mediation and Arbitration Centre of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce since 2001. Chairman of the Social Union of Christian Businessmen, Executives and Entrepreneurs (USEC) in years 2017-2018. Member of the National Justice and Peace Commission since 2018.
Mr. Arteaga worked at Cariola Diez Pérez-Cotapos & Cía. (1995-2007) and Clifford Chance, London (1997). He also, counts with an extensive teaching career, having served as Corporate Law professor of the course of business reorganization and M&A, and subsequently in Environmental Law, both at the Faculty of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
