Career
Luís Felipe Galante has 40 years of practice in shipping area. In non-contentious area he advises on a number of matters such as charter parties, bills of lading, shipbuilding contracts, offshore oil industry, competition law and regulatory aspects. In respect of litigation, he advises not only on court disputes (cargo claims, pollution cases, collisions, etc.) but also has been acting in arbitrations, either as arbitrator or lawyer to parties involved. He is the President of Brazilian Maritime Law Association - ABDM since 2017.

He graduated in 1979 in the University of State of Rio de Janeiro - UERJ. He is partner of the firm since 1981. He obtained his Phd degree in Private Law in 1985.
