Position

Anaís Alcántara Lerebours serves as a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution Department and leads the Administrative Law area.

Career

She has 8 years of experience as a lawyer, focusing on administrative, tax, civil and constitutional litigation.

Anaís  began her career in the Attorney General’s Office (PGR)  in 2012,  as  a paralegal  attached to the Office of the Attorney General. She  was  transferred to  the Administrative Attorney General’s Office (PGA), where she rose to the position of  assistant attorney, a position  she held until 2014.

Before joining DMK Abogados, Anaís was  a trial lawyer with the Customs General Directorate (DGA) for 7 years, where, in addition to successfully representing this institution before the Dominican Courts, she also specialized  in  administrative procedures instruction in  various  matters, including: public contracts and procurement,   public function,  administrative and tributary reconsiderations,  among others. She also  has  extensive  experience  in  technical  matters specific to  customs work,   such  as:  subsequent control,  tariff quotas,  application of trade agreements, customs valuation, etc.

Education

Anaís graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in 2014, and completed her master’s degree in State Administration Law at the University of Salamanca (USAL) and Instituto Global de Altos Estudios (Iglobal), in 2019. She has participated in several courses and diplomas on customs, tax, and civil litigation techniques.
