Career

Ulises is partner at Consortium Legal – Honduras. With 24 years of; he is an expert in litigation and arbitration, in civil, commercial and administrative matters, both in ordinary jurisdiction and arbitration, with special emphasis on litigation related to construction contracts for: public and private works, investment, public-private partnerships, insurance, professional services, telecommunications and representation, distribution and agency.

During his career, he has acquired practice to function as an Ad-hoc arbitrator, institutional arbitrator, secretary, and as a private lawyer in numerous arbitration proceedings under Honduran national regulations and international regulations (ICC, Uncitral). Currently, he is in the list of arbitrators for Honduras within the framework of the Free Trade Agreement between El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras with Colombia, as within the framework of the Mechanism for Settlement of Commercial Disputes between Central America of the Central American Economic Integration Secretariat SIECA. It is the arbitrator proposed by Honduras for the integration of the Inter-American Commercial Arbitration Commission (CIAC). In addition, he has extensive knowledge in the recently implemented Civil Procedure Code and is part of the list of Trainers of the Center of Conciliation and Arbitration of the CCIT and of the Judicial School “Salomon Jiménez Castro”, dependence of the Judicial Branch.
