Partner of litigation department leading the Sports practice area and concentrating her practice in civil litigation, commercial, labor, constitutional law, intellectual property, copyright, consumer law, insurance litigation, real estate, aviation and maritime law, as well as commercial arbitration.
Career
Lucy Objío joined the firm in 2009 and became a partner in 2012. She regularly advises companies and local and international financial institutions in the areas of complex contracts, dispute resolution, real estate disputes, intellectual property litigation, shareholder agreements, telecommunications, and compensations resulting from lawsuits. Lucy has participated in many cases in the maritime industry, such as maritime embargo claims, naval mortgage executions, freight disputes, maritime insurance claims, cargo claims and other related matters. She has also participated in most labor disputes of the firm, with a record of over 90% of judgments won. In addition, she regularly represents baseball clubs in the defense against claims for damages filed by prospective players.Lucy has been recognized by Chambers & Partners Latin America, Legal 500 and Who's Who Legal in dispute resolution. She was recognized among TOP25 LatAm Women in Litigation in 2018, 2019 and 2020; and was selected as Litigation Star in 2019 and 2020 by Benchmark Litigation.

She has attended courses and seminars on issues related to jurisdiction and the international criminal courts, international commercial arbitration and social security. Lucy has graduated from the Lex Mundi Institute Cross-Border Dispute Resolution Program.
