Sitraka is a partner at John W Ffooks & Co, where he co-heads its Aviation and Renewables teams. His specialisations include aircraft finance where his experience includes sales and lease-back agreements, dry leases, subleases, mortgages over aircrafts and refinancing). Sitraka also advised on insurance/passenger claims, subleasing, lease novation, and other matters related to African aviation including open skies. In Project Finance, he advises in the field of renewables and PPP, corporate restructuring, and employment law. He advises a variety of clients on power purchase agreements and concession agreements in order to make them comply with in-country legal requirements and helps both sponsors and lenders craft notably realistic and commercially usable Security Packages. He also assists public entities (host government, Ministries and State agencies) in negotiating power purchase agreements and concession agreements across French-speaking Africa. In addition to the above, he also advises on employment (labour) law, including drafting of employment documentation, termination of employment contracts, assistance in economic redundancy and any other employment-related issues. Sitraka is familiar with acting for both private and public entities, which allows him to quickly understand the needs of his clients on either side and to provide legal, practical and, more importantly, pragmatic advice when solicited. Before joining the firm, he was a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Antananarivo.

Sitraka is fluent in French and English.

He read Law at the University of Antananarivo and obtained a Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies (equivalent to Master II) of Laws.
