Career

Guy is a partner and the head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution departments at Priestleys. Guy joined Priestleys in October 2012, having previously practiced at the prestigious chambers of Sarah Forshaw KC and Mark Heywood KC at 5 King’s Bench Walk, in London.

Guy was called to the Bar of England and Walkes in 2001 and to the Bar of the Cayman Islands in October 2012.

As an experienced advocate, Guy has a broad practice and handles all aspects of contentious litigation, including corporate insolvencies, bankruptcies, and cross-boarder shareholder disputes. Guy has particular experience in general civil and commercial litigation, including contentious trust disputes, Human Rights, personal injury and professional negligence matters and family law.

Since joining Priestleys, Guy has been involved many high profile matters, including bringing the first successful application under the Cayman Islands Bill of Rights and the first successful application under the Gender Equality Act. Guy oversees a successful family law department which deals with the full spectrum of family law matters, with a particular focus on high value financial matters.
