Career

Pamela Benzan advises international and local clients doing business in the Dominican Republic, including mergers and acquisitions, project finance and venture capital transactions.

She counsels in most of the restructuring and insolvency cases currently pending in the Dominican courts and is the expert assistant to the conciliator in 2 of the most complex and important commercial restructuring cases in the Dominican Republic.

Coordinator of the commercial restructuring observatory of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Production of the Dominican Republic (FEDOCAMARAS). Currently working as co-author of the restructuring and liquidation section of the Dominican Legal Dictionary under the editorial direction of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language. Advises the Restructuring Commission and the Legal Department of the Santo Domingo Chamber of Commerce and Production on restructuring issues. Coordinator of the observatory of commercial restructuring of the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Santo Domingo. Member of the Bar Association of the Dominican Republic. Executive Director of the Law Review of UNIBE (2013-2014). Member of the Organizing Committee of the first and second edition of the UNIBE Free Legal Assistance Fair (LEX-UNIBE, 2013 and 2014 editions). Collaborator of COLADIC-RD and the Human Rights Clinic of the UNIBE Law School (2014).
