Position

Greg Mann represents and advises some of the nation’s leading insurers on a broad range of coverage matters – from historic manufactured gas plant operations and compliance with coal ash regulations, to emerging issues such as global climate change. Most recently, Greg has concentrated on complex environmental claims arising from compliance with state and federal regulations regarding closure of historic coal ash basins. His recent cases have also involved environmental contamination and toxic exposure arising from pipeline leaks, well blowouts, and coal ash storage.

Greg also represents insurers in litigation involving complex coverage issues arising under homeowners and commercial insurance policies, including arson, residency issues, and claims-handling practices.

Greg is a prolific writer on a wide-ranging set of insurance issues. Greg’s articles have appeared in the New York Law JournalLaw360, and the Claims and Litigation Magazine. Greg also co-authors a monthly insurance newsletter summarizing recent hot-button insurance decisions across the country.

Career

Greg made partner in 2021. Before joining Rivkin Radler, Greg was a law clerk to United States District Judge Arthur D. Spatt of the Eastern District of New York. In addition, Greg was a Senior Central Staff Attorney to the New York State Court of Appeals. Greg graduated cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as an Associate Editor for the Cardozo Law Review.
