Chipili is a Partner of the firm with experience in Banking and Finance, Capital Markets, Corporate Financing, Project Financing and Commercial Litigation. He recently spearheaded the Firm’s team that was advising China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co.,Limited (“NFC”) in relation to Zambian law aspect regarding the potential acquisition of controlling stake in China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited ("CNMCL") from China Nonferrous Mining Development Limited ("CNMDL"). NFC is principally engaged in mining and smelting of nonferrous metal products and international projects contracting.

Over the years, he has built his expertise in project financing and general financing and has advised on various cross border has advised on various cross border transactions involving multinational institution such as Alliance One Zambia Limited, a subsidiary of Alliance One International, China Import and Export Bank ("CEXIM") Jumo World Limited and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China ("ICBC").

He is also an active member of our Litigation Team and has recently obtained Judgment in favour of Barloworld Equipment Zambia Limited in matter which was before the Commercial Division of the High Court and Barloworld was claiming over the sum of US$ 3 million against the Road Development Agency and the National Road Fund Agency.

Chipili has also recently advised Kapsch TraffiCom AG (“KAPSCH”), a provider of intelligent transportation systems in the application fields of road user charging, urban access and parking, road safety etc., in relation to various agreements including the Concession Agreement inter alia the Government of the Republic of Zambia acting through Road through Road Trasport and Safety Agency ("RTSA") and Intelligent Mobility Solutions ("IMS").
