Career

Karen Gonzalez is an associate at CorralRosales. She has more than 5 years of experience in the Intellectual Property, Regulatory and Labor areas.

As part of her practice of ​​Regulatory, Karen advises local and international clients wishing to obtain sanitary permits and in administrative and judicial processes related to the breach of technical norms and regulations, mainly before the Agency of Regulation and Sanitary Control-ARCSA.

In the area of ​​Intellectual Property, Karen participates in administrative and judicial proceedings related to counterfeit products and the violation of intellectual property rights; as well as in national operations to fight against piracy and contraband.

In the Labor area, Karen participates in administrative processes before the Ministry of Labor, such as the defense of workers’ complaints, approval processes and labor compliance inspections. She also participates in the definition of strategies and client representation in legal proceedings.

Karen actively participates in forums and congresses on intellectual property, trains members of public institutions on issues related to counterfeit products, intellectual property and contraband. Furthermore, she has published articles on intellectual property issues both locally and internationally.

Education

Karen is a graduate from the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil, with a concentration in Economic Law. She obtained a Master’s of Business Law at Universidad Espíritu Santo. She is currently an assistant professor in the field of labor law and verbal procedures at Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil.
