Career

Mr. Rosen is founder of The Firm and managing attorney. He is one of the most experienced and successful securities class action attorneys in the United States, having successfully litigated and obtained multimillion-dollar recoveries in over 150 securities class actions over 30 years. Mr. Rosen is a 1988 graduate of the New York University School of Law. He earned an M.B.A. in finance and accounting at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Economics from Emory University. Mr. Rosen served as a law clerk to the Honorable Stanley S. Brotman, Senior United States District Judge for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Rosen entered private practice as an associate at the law firm of Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in New York City where he participated in a number of complex securities class action and derivative litigation matters. In 2001, Laurence founded The Rosen Law Firm to represent investors exclusively in securities fraud and corporate governance litigation. Mr. Rosen is admitted to practice law in New York, California, Florida, New Jersey, Arizona, and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice before numerous United States District Courts throughout the country and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fourth, and Sixth Circuits.

Laurence was the lead attorney who directed the successful litigation against Alibaba Holdings arising from its $25 billion IPO achieving a $250 million settlement, the largest ever against a Chinese issuer. Laurence also was one of the lead attorneys in the $110 million settlement obtained from FIAT following its merger with Chrysler and its listing on the NYSE.  In addition, he was one of the lead trial attorneys in the fiduciary duty litigation against the Textainer partnerships arising from its sale of the partnership assets resulting in a $10 million recovery for limited partners following a bench trial. Laurence was co-lead trial attorney in a contentious month-long trial of a derivative action against KOR Electronics arising from a recapitalization by controlling shareholders that had the effect of devaluing the interests of minority shareholders. Laurence is currently the lead attorney for a large MDL in the Southern District of Florida against Robinhood Financial alleging market manipulation arising out of the historic “Meme Stock” events in January 2021 where Robinhood shut down trading in Meme Stocks causing their prices to crash and inflicting billions of damages on investors.

In 2019-2023 Law dragon named Mr. Rosen as one of 500 Leading Plaintiff Financial Lawyers.  Mr. Rosen was recognized by law360 as Titan of Plaintiffs' Bar for 2020.  Mr. Rosen was selected as Super Lawyers in 2017-2024.
