Career

Javier Márquez is a specialist in bankruptcy and corporate law with more than 10 years of experience. His holistic and transversal knowledge in various areas of law, focused on credit recovery, reorganization of companies in financial or equity crisis, has allowed him to provide advice to both public institutions and various private companies in the banking, mining and industrial sectors. His advice includes risk analysis in operations of purchase of companies or assets of companies in bankruptcy, preparation of reports on competition matters, consulting in arbitration and sponsorship in administrative proceedings.

Javier stands out for providing effective solutions to the constant challenges in insolvency matters, through the design of ad-hoc strategies for the recovery of claims through the combined use of negotiation, insolvency practice and litigation.

Prior to joining CMS Grau, Javier has been Head of the Legal Department of the Jockey Club of Peru, Human Resources Manager of Century Mining Peru and Legal Manager of Doe Run Peru. He also has a specialization in corporate labor law from ESAN University.
