Partner

Santiago Arbouin is a Partner and Head of the Tax and Customs Law & Trade practices.

He has over 20 years of experience advising national and international clients on domestic and international tax, customs and foreign trade matters, with a strong focus on strategic tax planning. His practice includes advising on the application of free trade agreements, bilateral and multilateral trade frameworks, and double taxation treaties.

Santiago has extensive experience in the structuring and negotiation of free zones and special customs regimes, as well as in advising on foreign investment and cross-border transactions.

In addition, he is actively involved in the promotion of foreign trade and investment initiatives and regularly participates in industry forums.

He has more than 15 years of academic experience, having taught international taxation, tax planning and foreign direct investment at Universidad de la Sabana, as well as corporate taxation and foreign investment at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. He is also a frequent speaker at national and international tax conferences.
