Erik Jonkman is a lawyer in our IT / IP Practice Group and heads the Data Protection & Privacy team of CMS in the Netherlands. He is an expert in matters that involve information technology and data, with a particular focus on the legal aspects of cybersecurity and data breach matters. ​

Erik invests the majority of his time and energy in offering full-service and holistic legal advice on digital risk. He has made significant contributions to expand CMS' legal capabilities in the rapidly evolving domain of cybersecurity and also develops strategic collaborations with cyber experts from different disciplines, such as forensic experts and cyber insurance brokers. He is widely regarded as a key lawyer in the Netherlands for those needing immediate assistance with severe cyber incidents domestically and abroad. Last year. ​
