Career

Julia Haas specializes in public law. Her areas of expertise include economic administrative law and regulated markets. She advises and represents clients in various administrative law matters, particularly in the areas of procurement law (public procurement), health law (life sciences and healthcare), competition law (antitrust law), energy law, environmental law, and ESG (Environmental Social Governance), public corporate governance, and public procedural law. Due to her years of court practice, Julia Haas has extensive experience in guiding clients through proceedings before state courts, such as the Federal Administrative Court.

Julia Haas has extensive practical experience in public law. Before joining CMS as a lawyer in May 2023, she worked for several years as a legal clerk at the Federal Administrative Court (Department II) and as a public law attorney at a renowned commercial law firm. She also worked for several years as a research assistant in constitutional, administrative, and European law at the University of Zurich, where she also completed her dissertation in the field of public organizational law. As an intern, she gained valuable court experience at the European Court of Human Rights and the District Court of Uster.
