Lindsay has over 18 years’ experience as a commercial property lawyer acting for clients across a diverse range of business sectors.
She has considerable experience in acting for large corporates and owner managed businesses. Considered to be highly organised, she has led on several large portfolio acquisitions and disposals for household names such as Allied London and Trinity Mirror plc as well as corporate reorganisations and provides property management advice for both landlords and tenants.
Lindsay undertakes both commercial and residential property development work acting for landowners, developers and funders. She has also spent time in-house on secondment at Lloyds Banking Group, acting in a facilitating capacity for the business explaining legal issues and risks to the bankers and transaction execution teams and has dealt with many high value real estate investment and development finance transactions for Lloyds and other major banks.
Representative experience: acting on the £8m+ disposal to a north west property developer of a 28.5 acre manufacturing complex for KME Yorkshire Limited which had some unique features with complex issues relating to contamination and machinery removal; acting for Yorkshire based developer, Newby, on a multi-million pound acquisition of an investment property comprising 12 office blocks in central Harrogate and two separate back to back sales of part of the site to existing occupiers; acting for several Yorkshire businesses in the last 12 months relocating and expanding the region including the £1m move by Morley Glass & Glazing to new factory and office facilities in Leeds and the 1ha acquisition by Beauty Leisure Industry Supplies and Services Limited of a warehousing facility and new Leeds head office; acting on the disposal of land in central Harrogate for residential development for Chippindale Foods Limited; the acquisition of the final phase of a residential development site in Wakefield for Persimmon Homes for circa £3m bringing to an end a Collaboration Agreement entered into by Persimmon with Wakefield Council in 1999 for the phased drawdown of Council land which Lindsay had been dealing with for the last 10 years.
