Career

With a wealth of experience, Peter is a solicitor with over 30 years’ experience in the law and is recommended in the Legal 500. Peter’s specialism is Inheritance and Capital Gains Tax Planning, Will drafting and all aspects of trust and estate administration as well as a full range of advisory services to the elderly, including powers of attorney, court of protection matters, long term care issues and asset protection. As a member of the firm’s specialist contentious inheritance team, he also advises on disputes concerning Wills and trusts. An Inland Revenue Officer before qualifying as a solicitor, Peter also advises on personal capital tax planning issues in corporate transactions including sales of owner-managed businesses, shareholder agreements and the structuring of private businesses generally.

Peter is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) for which he has held a number of executive positions, including Chairman of STEP Thames Valley and M3 Corridor Branch, 3 years on STEP Council Worldwide and STEP England & Wales Regional Committee. He is also a member of the Law Society Private Client Section and Solicitors for the Elderly.
