Career

Caroline Etyang qualified as a Kenyan Advocate in 2007 and she joined Kaplan & Stratton in 2010. She is a Commissioner of Oaths and Notary Public. Her work encompasses property acquisition/disposal and development, property laws, energy projects, due diligence and forensics, property finance and loan securities and private client work.

Some of Caroline’s landmark transactions include: acting for a South African corporate entity with a local presence in Kenya in the disposal of its assets in Kenya valued at approximately USD 22.5 million; acting for an international lender in the financing of a wind power project estimated at approximately USD 232 million to be set up in rural Kenya with an expected capacity of 100MW - due diligence and forensics, project finance advice, transactional documents; acting for one of the world's leading providers of air freight, ocean freight, and logistics services in the setting up of its local presence with the acquisition of the assets of a local flower and horticulture export company at an estimated value of USD 7 million - due diligence and forensics, transactional documents; acting for the Virgin Group Edition in the acquisition of property for the establishment of a conservancy, luxury lodge, set up of the management company including corporate restructuring; acting for L’Oreal SA (the world’s largest beauty products manufacturer) in their multi-billion shilling acquisition of Inter-Consumer Products Limited’s health and beauty business; acting for Kenya’s sole provider of landline phone services, Telkom Kenya Limited in the sale of various properties by way of tender estimated at approximately USD 10 million.
