Nick Goodman is a Partner and Head of Insolvency Law at Slater Heelis, having joined in 2023.

He graduated from Southampton University, and after qualifying as a solicitor, he worked in Hong Kong for six years in the commercial litigation department of Wilkinson & Grist.

He returned to London and began to specialise in insolvency law, first with Wedlake Bell, then with Dibb Lupton Broomhead (as it then was).

He transferred up to DLB���s Manchester office at the start of 1992, rising to partner, and in 1995 moved to Addleshaw Sons & Latham.

In 2000 Nick established N J Goodman & Co based in Altrincham as a niche solicitors practice specialising in providing legal advice on all aspects of insolvency, including corporate recovery and personal bankruptcy.

Nick holds a non-appointment-taking insolvency practitioner’s licence.

He has been recommended as a leading insolvency lawyer in the North West in both Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession and Legal Business Report on Legal Experts.
