Career

As a Partner in the Real Estate department, Jane acts for national and regional housebuilders, residential property developers and land promoters advising on the acquisition and disposal of sites for new build dwellings. As a residential development specialist, her skills are also in demand from landowners who are looking to maximise the value of their landholding when selling to developers or entering into land promotion agreements.

Jane is a natural communicator and her strength lies in her ability to build truly strategic partnerships; she is the trusted advisor for many longstanding clients. Regardless of the complexity or sensitivity of the transaction, Jane understands that each transaction is unique and uses her extensive knowledge and experience in the sector to work collaboratively with all sides of the transaction to find solutions in line with her clients’ commercial objectives.

Jane has particular expertise in drafting and advising clients on all forms of conditional contracts, options (short-term and strategic) and land promotion agreements. She is also very experienced in dealing with planning obligations and related infrastructure agreements.

  • Acting for consortium of landowners in individual option agreements and collaborative/promotion agreement for the development of North Horsham area. Major development providing for 2750 residential dwellings, a retail business park of 46,450sqm as well as educational and community facilities.
