Career
Referred to in the Legal 500 as a ‘Rising Star’ (2017), and a ‘Next Generation Partner’ (2020), Robert advises businesses ranging from multi-national corporations to local SME’s on all aspects of employment law, including advising on corporate restructures, complex discrimination and whistleblowing grievances, TUPE consultations, and defending employment tribunal claims.
He also assists employers with data protection queries, and immigration matters, including the process for sponsoring migrants to work in the UK.
Recent work highlights include:
- advising a major food industry client on the restructure and transfer of employees across a multi-site operation with added TUPE complications
- defence of a multi-respondent multi-claimant TUPE claim arising out of liquidation and insolvency
- delivering nationwide Equality & Diversity training for all management grades for a leading UK food manufacturer
- defending a national organisation from allegations of discrimination and whistleblowing.
Robert has been a practicing employment solicitor throughout his career since qualification in 2013, having obtained an undergraduate degree in Law from UEA and undertaken the LPC at Nottingham Kaplan. He loves getting to grips with the intricacies of clients’ businesses to enable him to give pragmatic, risk-based advice that fits their needs.
Robert is a huge rugby fan who splits his weekends playing amateur rugby for Norwich RFC with watching professional rugby at Saracens.
