Annabel has a broad range of experience in general dispute resolution work, advising both businesses and individuals involved in litigation. Annabel’s particular expertise is in freehold land disputes and includes the following:-
- Boundary disputes and other issues relating to title and ownership
- Issues surrounding the enforcement of covenants over land
- Easement disputes, such as right of way and right to light issues
- Adverse possession claims
- Complex residential landlord and tenant matters
- Nuisance and trespass claims.
She recognises that complex land disputes between neighbours can involve a number of different elements and is experienced in dealing with associated claims for harassment and defamation.
Annabel is keen to promote the resolution of a dispute at the earliest possible stage to mitigate against the stress and upset that a potential long-running land dispute can entail. She is experienced in a number of different alternative dispute resolutions option and has good contacts with a number of different land agents and surveyors within the region to help achieve this.
In addition to freehold land disputes, Annabel is also very experienced in general commercial litigation. She regularly advises on breach of contract claims, negligence claims and enforcement actions.
Annabel became a Partner in April 2022. She qualified as a solicitor in 2012. Annabel leads an experienced team and can ensure that matters are resourced at the appropriate level and cost to her clients.
Annabel is a member of the Property Litigation Association, a Trustee on the Board for Citizens Advice West Suffolk, and a volunteer for the Suffolk Law Centre – advising individuals on a pro bono basis. When not at work, Annabel enjoys cooking and spending time with her young family.
