Daniel advises clients on the domestic and international tax aspects of a wide range of transactions, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, fund formations, capital markets transactions, cross-border financings and project finance transactions.

A significant part of Daniel’s practice involves advising publicly traded and privately held companies on a wide variety of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. He also regularly advises asset managers and institutional investors on tax matters surrounding the formation of, and investments by, private equity and credit funds, among others. Moreover, he regularly advises issuers and underwriters on complex capital markets transactions, including high yield and investment grade debt offerings, initial public offerings, liability management transactions, stock repurchases and asset securitizations.

In addition, Daniel is an active contributor to A&O Shearman’s pro bono practice.
